Important information about using Warestack's services

Warestack ("we", "our", or "us") provides a software tool that integrates with GitHub to automate repository protections, detect rule violations, and streamline software delivery processes. By installing, configuring, or using Warestack, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and limitations.
General Use
Warestack is a software tool designed to help engineering teams automate repository protections, monitor GitHub activity, and enforce custom development rules in real time. By using Warestack, you acknowledge and accept that:
- •Warestack operates only with your explicit authorization through GitHub's secure API and permissions framework.
- •You are responsible for ensuring that your organization’s use of Warestack complies with internal policies and industry regulations.
- •Warestack is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind—express or implied—including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Repository Access and Automation
Upon installation, the Warestack GitHub App accesses selected event data (e.g. pull requests, workflow runs, rule changes) solely to support:
- •Rule enforcement and violation detection
- •Developer alerts and notifications
- •Compliance reporting and team insights
Warestack does not access or store your source code. All processing is performed securely and in real time using metadata provided by GitHub.
Third-Party Services
Warestack integrates with third-party tools such as GitHub, Slack, and Linear. We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or data practices of these services. You are encouraged to review the privacy policies and terms of those providers.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall Warestack, its affiliates, or its contributors be liable for:
- •Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
- •Loss of data, business interruption, or security incidents resulting from external actions or misconfiguration
- •Actions taken within your GitHub repositories that bypass or disable Warestack protections
You assume full responsibility for how Warestack is used in your development workflows.
User Responsibilities
You acknowledge and agree that:
- •You are solely responsible for the rules, alerts, and actions configured in Warestack.
- •You must verify that Warestack rules reflect your internal policies and regulatory needs.
- •Warestack recommendations are based on metadata and heuristics, and may not capture all context or intent.
- •You will not use Warestack to violate GitHub’s terms of service or any applicable laws or data policies.
Changes and Updates
Warestack may update or discontinue features, modify this disclaimer, or change the scope of data accessed. We will provide notice via the tool or email for material changes. Continued use of Warestack after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
